Mik, that Stick-Man bloke, tells me that Back From The Depths, the Scream dedication website, has a new forum.
That’s great news. The old forum was difficult to use because every time you posted a new message, it would complain of an error and your post is lost. Then there was the spambots flooding the boards with Viagra crap.
The board was dying a slow death. The old forum was created to talk about Scream! and other stuff. The plan was to create a tribute comic to Scream! but without the copyrighted characters. We had plenty of good ideas but very few artists. Some people, including myself, wrote a couple of scripts to kickstart the enthusiasm.
However, a good few talented people left the boards due to work and family commitments. I have been going back and forth with the BFTD guys, hmming and hawwing about it. I probably didn’t help much with that. I would love to see the old Scream! characters come back. I wrote a script based on the Dracula File. From that script, I could easily work out 5 story arcs. Sadly, it is not to be. Unless more talented people join us. Could that be you?
