I have challenged myself to write 3 stories by the first week of August. Let me give you a bit of background.
Five years ago, I took up a creative writing course. After I completed the course, I kept in touch with those 2 women. I’ll call them G and R. (I don’t think they would want to be identified!). I meet G and R once in a while, and when we do, we give each other copies of our stories or poems. We offer each other some constructive feedback on our writing.
For the past few months, I haven’t been doing my bit. My stories were rushed. Often I would write a story the night before meeting up. I wasn’t happy with my progress nor the half baked stories. So after our catch up meeting, I challenged myself to write up 2 more scripts for FutureQuake and a story for our internal reading. Apart from the scripts, I don’t plan to publish any of my stories.
So far I know what to write.
- A SciFi script for FutureQuake
- A horror script for FutureQuake (Something Wicked)
- A short story for ourselves.
